For VC, alt-data and PE analysts

Young European companies that just got public grant money.

Company X got €Y from Funder Z, works in sector A and is building B. A direct feed from governments, agencies and research programmes, so you see them before the funding round, not in a newsletter after it.

Non-dilutive funding is rarely covered by news wires or terminals. We match every recipient to the company register, remove the noise, and give you a card per company.

No credit card for the trial. Email, REST API and MCP included in Pro.

How we get from a grant to a company you can check out

  1. 01

    We read the funders

Bpifrance i-Lab and Innovate UK. Government and agency records, not press releases.

  2. 02

    We check the company register

Every recipient is matched to Companies House or the French SIRENE register. Only companies incorporated in the last five years with this as their first award in our data make the feed.

  3. 03

    We remove the noise

Universities and institutes, banks and holding companies, mid-size and large companies, project vehicles and known subsidiaries of corporate groups are filtered out.

  4. 04

    You get a card

Registered name, country, founding year, funder, amount, sector and a one-line description of what the company does, taken from the funding record.

Questions

What exactly is a "new winner"?+

A company whose first grant award in our dataset is recent and that, according to the national company register, was incorporated within the last five years. "First award in our dataset" is not guaranteed to be the first award ever: each source starts where our coverage starts.

Which countries and funders are covered today?+

The default feed covers two sources we have checked by hand: Bpifrance i-Lab (France, 2025 onwards) and Innovate UK (United Kingdom). German federal projects are held back until we have a reliable founding date for German companies. More funders (regional agencies, university programmes, other countries) are added as each one passes our precision check. The API can also return a wider, noisier set with tier=all.

Is the description of what the company does reliable?+

It is taken verbatim from the funder's own record. French descriptions are shown in their original language and labelled FR. We do not generate or guess descriptions.

How do I receive it?+

As a daily email digest, as a REST API (/api/v1/new-winners) or through the MCP server (get_new_winners tool) so an AI agent can query it directly. Pro includes all three.

How current is the data?+

The sources are synced on a schedule and the feed is rebuilt from them. Funders publish on different delays, so an award is usually public a few weeks to months before it shows here. Each card shows the award date so you can judge freshness yourself.
